Insanely Romantic… Incurably Romantic
Due to some complicated health issues, my writing has been put on hold for the time being. My apologies for making you wait for Book 2. Click HERE for an update.
Hi there and welcome to my site!
I'm Trisha Wilson and I recently entered the self-published author world in September, 2011.
A little about me:
I was born in Livingston, TN on July 31, 1979 to Therman & Pauline. (I was a surprise baby! So surprising that my dad -according to the doctor- passed out when he found out my mom had delivered a baby....... He thought that they were at the emergency room 'cause she had kidney stones! HA! I was a LARGE kidney stone! My mom had been working full-time at a shirt factory, and when she came home that evening, she laid down, not feeling well. She told my older sisters, Connie -11 at the time- & Anna -10 at the time- that there were leftovers in the fridge and they could heat them up. My dad came in and told them that he was taking Momma to the ER to find out what was wrong. He sat in the waiting room while the doctor done the exam, only to have the doctor greet him about an hour later, informing him that he was a daddy again, to a baby girl. The doctor told me years later that after he'd informed my dad of this, Daddy looked at him and said, "A daughter?!?!?! I thought she had kidney stones!" And then, much to my dad's denial, hit the ground, passed-out cold. My dad denied this till the day he passed away in 2001. I was his little girl, and I miss him daily.)
I graduated Livingston Academy in 1997. Even though I wanted to attend college, it just wasn't financially possible at the time, so I went to work. I worked at McDonald's for a couple of months till I reached my 18th birthday. After I turned 18, I went to work at Russell Stover's Candy factory in Cookeville, TN. (Still to this day, I cannot stand the smell or taste of that candy! Lol - which is probably a very good thing!) I worked various jobs over the years, and never seemed to be able to find my niche. I've always been an avid reader, and even began writing poetry as a teenager. I wanted to expand that, but with low self-esteem, I never had the confidence that I could do "greater".
In 2005, I was going through some rough emotional baggage. In order to escape my reality, I drifted off into a "dream world", and that's where I came up with "An Unforgettable Christmas"... I sat down at my computer and began typing. I wrote that in about a week, which doesn't include editing, etc; I didn't do that till years later when I discovered you CAN publish a book without having to go through the so-called gatekeepers of agents & publishing houses. Since writing that one, I have started several manuscripts and jotted down ideas. When I thought of the "Indigo Girls Series" idea, I put all of the others aside, and have been focusing on writing these books. It is going to be 4 books. "Daring To Trust" is book 1, which is Julia & Mark's story. It's a shorter story, due to the fact that they were already married. They didn't need as much "background" - getting to know you stage, etc - so I decided to start with them. I'm currently working on "Daring To Love", which is book 2, Ellen's story. Book 3 will be "Daring To Hope" - Jae's story, and Book 4 will be "Daring To Dream" - Abby's story.
Through my writing, I hope to be able to help readers understand that if you trust and lean on God, ANYTHING is possible. No matter what you're going through, no matter how alone you feel, He is ALWAYS there! Personally, I know without Him I wouldn't be following my dream to write now!
I will update this site as often as I can, so please check back. Contact me if you have any questions or comments.
